There’s something about the bullet-happy violent ballet that is My Friend Pedro that’s grabbing a lot of people’s attention. The Deadpool-esque side-scrolling action game that features a tonne of slow-down and blood is releasing on Nintendo Switch and PC on June 20, 2019. Is there, however, a My Friend Pedro PS4 and Xbox One release date? Below, we’ll go through both the My Friend Pedro PS4 release and the My Friend Pedro Xbox One release. Read on to find out the answer to is My Friend Pedro multiplatform?
My Friend Pedro PS4 and Xbox One Release Date | Is My Friend Pedro multiplatform?
As of writing, My Friend Pedro is only releasing on Nintendo Switch and PC. The upcoming violent ballet game is joining Devolver Digital’s Katana Zero, Pikuniku, Gris, and Ape Out as being a Nintendo Switch console exclusive. For whatever reason, Devolver Digital appear to like working with Nintendo and My Friend Pedro is just the latest in the list of Switch console exclusive games from the company. Just because My Friend Pedro is only releasing on Switch and PC, however, doesn’t mean that it will never be ported to PS4 and Xbox One.
On the technical side, there is nothing holding a My Friend Pedro PS4 and Xbox One port back. It’s being developed to run on the Switch, so it will have no issues whatsoever on the beefier PS4 or Xbox One. Nintendo may have paid for an exclusivity deal with My Friend Pedro, or Devolver Digital might simply have decided that the hybrid console was the best choice for its game. Whatever the reason is, My Friend Pedro is only on Nintendo Switch and PC. For now.
If there is an exclusivity deal for My Friend Pedro, it could likely be for a year. We wouldn’t be surprised to see a port of the bananas action game hit the PS4 and Xbox One in the summer of 2020, anyway. This is a wait-and-see operation. A port could happen, but it also could never see the light of day. Cross those fingers and toes, though, and who knows?
