Madden 20 Fumbles | How to force a fumble

Perhaps one of the most exciting defensive plays in all of football is a forced fumble. Once the ball pops loose, it is utter chaos until someone is able to pick up the ball. More times than not, the ball ends up bouncing around on the field, leading to a giant pile of players on top of each other fighting for possession. However, when the defense comes up with a forced fumble, it can change the momentum of the whole game—especially late in the game. The same is true with Madden 20 fumbles, as forcing a late-game fumble can give you the edge that you need to come out on top. So, let’s take a look at how to force a fumble in Madden 20.

Madden 20 Fumbles

There are two main ways that players can force a fumble while on defense, and both are rather simple. The first way that you can try to force a fumble in Madden 20 is by using the ‘Strip the Ball’ control. Prior to hitting the ball handler, players can press and hold RB (XB1)/R1(PS4) to extend their arm and try to strip the ball from the ball carrier. However, odds are a wide receiver or running back will have solid ball protection, but if you get a shot at the quarterback, then there is a good chance that you might be able to pop the ball loose. With that said, you’ll want to be careful, because if you time it wrong, you’ll end up being called for a 15-yard face mask penalty.

If you find yourself getting lots of penalties, you might want to try the second option of forcing Madden 20 fumbles: the ‘Hit Stick.’ This is one of the most beloved controls for lots of players, because when timed properly, it can not only force a fumble, but can leave the ball carrier flat on the ground. It can be difficult to time it properly, but once you get the hang of it, there is a good chance you’ll be able to force some fumbles. To use the Hit Stick, simply flick up on the right analog stick on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
