The No Man’s Sky 2.04 update patch notes for August 15 have been detailed by developer Hello Games. This new No Man’s Sky update follows yesterday’s big 2.0 “Beyond” patch, which implemented a huge number of changes to the game, including full support for VR, increased support for multiplayer, and a lot more. The new patch should download automatically for PC, PS4, and Xbox One users, but you can always hit “Check for update” to manually force the download. Read on for the highlights and full list of 2.04 patch notes.
No Man’s Sky 2.04 Update Patch Notes
No Man’s Sky 2.04 is a small update that aims to fix problems caused by the new 2.0 content drop. Hello Games’ Sean Murray has stated that the latest build of the game has “fixes for a number of issues experienced since release … including some early Nexus issues resolved.”

While official patch notes usually go up on the No Man’s Sky website, there isn’t yet any detailed description of what 2.04 does. Instead, Sean Murray tweeted the following, giving a brief overview of what the new update is trying to fix across PC, PS4, and Xbox One:
Updated build has been sent to experimental branch on PC with further fixes, including some early Nexus issues resolved.
This will go live to everyone on PC soon.
These will be rolled up for PS4 and XBox (MS/Sony cert means this is a tiny bit slower)

This doesn’t really tell us much, but perhaps we’ll learn more during U.K. working hours today.
Sean Murray last tweeted at 4 AM BST, which presumably means him and his team have been pushing hard to get this update out as soon as possible.
We’ll monitor the No Man’s Sky website and the developer team’s Twitter accounts for further information and update this post accordingly.
