Gearbox Software and 2K Games’ looter-shooter might boast in excess of a ridiculous 1 billion guns to peruse, but when it comes to throwable explosives the offering is a little bit more sparse. As such, you’re probably looking to spruce up your grenade loadout with some exciting new mods and there’s no better way to do so than by installing the Borderlands 3 Nagata Legendary grenade mod. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
How to get the Nagata Legendary grenade mod in Borderlands 3
The Nagata is a powerful tool for your arsenal, dealing heavy damage to enemies. More notable amongst its feature, however, is that this Hyperion branded longbow grenade actually hovers in midair and then quickly teleports a series of smaller explosives to nearby enemies when thrown. So, if you can’t throw to save your life or just want a pretty novel new toy, this is how to go about it.

Unfortunately, there’s bad news. Unlike many other Legendary loot drops that can be narrowed down to a certain source, for now at least, the Nagata is known to be a completely randomized form of loot pickup. This means that we can’t direct you to any guaranteed source, though here are some general tips on how and where to locate items.
You’re gonna want to slay as many enemies as you can in order to hoover up all the lovely loot they’re holding, so always keep an eye our for gleaming golden drops (these are Legendaries) and also remember that the bigger they are, the harder they… grant rewards. Additionally, you’ll want to be searching for and opening loot chests all of the time, as the fabled Negata could theoretically be lurking inside any of them.
Last but not least, slot machines can also pay out Nagatas for those that want to test their luck. In addition to the conventional means of earning scratch (killing enemies and turning in quests) remember to sell any unused gear so that you have more money to fritter away in pursuit of your new Legendary grenade mod.
