Bethesda has deployed a Fallout 76 update and has shared the details on November 12. This patch is expected to fix some exploits and erase some bugs for good, while improving the stability of the game as well. It’s a small hotfix that nonetheless should improve Fallout 76 for those who are experiencing server crashes, while eradicating the exploits that others were using to gain unfair advantages.
Fallout 76 Update Patch Notes November 12, 2019 | Highlights
In a surprising twist that is becoming the norm in Fallout 76, Bethesda couldn’t deploy the full Fallout 76 update on November 12 as originally planned. The developer stumbled upon a significant issue that needs to be addressed before it can deploy all the projected fixes, which means that this will be a phased release. The “Items” part of the hotfix is available, but you have to wait for the rest to arrive during the next few days.

One of the issues that was fixed consisted of several items that weren’t supposed to be in-game and could only be obtained via an exploit. Allegedly, these items were part of the dev room and while they are available in the game code, they weren’t yet officially released.
Naturally, the Fallout 76 community on Reddit was quick to react to this situation, saying that “they need to hotfix their hotfix.” It’s not a common occurrence, but Fallout 76 is prone to strange behavior, including the latest Fallout 1st controversy, where Bethesda forgot to buy the domain, leading to a mockery site created by an outraged fan.
The Fallout 76 update is expected to eliminate a serious of exploits, one of which allows players to duplicate items. While this is a practice that usually results in bans, it’s highly likely that many players are still taking advantage of it. An exploit affecting workbenches is also mentioned, as well as a weapon damage exploit.
