Borderlands 3 Brawler Ward shield

Borderlands 3 Brawler Ward Shield | How to farm

Gearbox Software’s latest looter-shooter is absolutely crammed with tons of enticing loot. Often people gravitate towards the huge variety of guns, but they’ve probably never heard the tried and true saying that the best offense is a good defense. Don’t believe it? Once you’ve learned what the Borderlands 3 Brawler Ward shield can do, you’ll definitely be converted to a new way of thinking. Here’s everything you need to know about why you want a Brawler Ward and how to get your hands on one.

How to get the Brawler Ward shield in Borderlands 3

Borderlands 3 Brawler Ward shield

If your current shield just covers your but for a little while, you probably think it’s doing its job and no further action is needed. In reality, however, it’s massively undeserving you. There’s a reason that people are selling them on eBay (and players are buying them), and that’s not only the large capacity for incoming damage absorption. There’s the potential to output massively increased melee and firearms damage when the shield is depleted, alongside the ability to steadily regenerate health over time.

The good news is that since Borderlands 3 introduced dedicated loot pools, we now know that there’s a guaranteed opportunity to get a Brawler Ward shield when defeating the Graveward boss. Note that appearing in the Graveward loot pool doesn’t guarantee that it will drop, rather only that there is a definite chance for it to drop. Long story short: it could still be a grind.

Here’s what you should do:

  • Head to the Floating Tomb area on the planet Eden-6
  • Battle and defeat the Graveward
  • Check for Legendary loot amongst the item drops
  • If there isn’t a Brawler Ward shield, quit to the main menu and reload your game
  • Repeat the process until the Brawler Ward eventually drops
