Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Switch Release Date | Will it release on Switch?

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Switch

Before you begin to wonder if Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will release on the Switch, the answer, we’re afraid, looks like a no. As of writing, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will not be releasing on the Nintendo Switch. For now, at least, it doesn’t seem like the latest retelling of the Dragon Ball Z story will be releasing on Switch.

This news has supposedly been confirmed by AltChar, who claims that Bandai Namco told them that the game will only be released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Unfortunately, however, AltChar’s report lacks a quote, so it’s worth taking with a pinch of salt or two. Aside from this report, there’s not been an official announcement apart from Bandai Namco telling us which platforms it’s releasing on come January 17.

While there is currently no sign of a Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Switch port, this doesn’t mean it will never happen. Bandai Namco, at least, has previous when it comes to late ports of Dragon Ball games on the platform. Both Dragon Ball FighterZ and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 saw release on the Switch eventually. Nothing is saying that the same won’t happen with Kakarot. As with those games, however, a potential Switch port of Kakarot will take a while, even up to a year. It could happen, but this doesn’t mean that it will. If you want to play the game, you’re better off going for it now.
