Call of Duty: Mobile has been a massive success for Activision, almost singlehandedly ensuring that mobile gaming has become their most profitable sector. One of the behemoth iOS and Android title’s modes hasn’t found the same glory, however. The popular Zombies co-op mode has been removed from CoD: Mobile, but why would the developers do that and is it coming back? Stick with this guide for the answer to the following question: Where has Call of Duty: Mobile Zombies gone?
Has Zombies mode been removed from Call of Duty: Mobile?
As of Wednesday, March 25, Zombies mode has officially been removed from Call of Duty: Mobile across all iOS and Android devices. At the time of writing, neither the community or the development team know if it will ever come back.

Eagle-eyed players may have noticed upon its introduction that Zombies mode was described as a “limited” inclusion, though few people ever expected to see the back of it so soon. A Community Update posted to Reddit by Activision stated that “[Zombies] just didn’t reach the level of quality that we desire.”
In this case, most studios would likely announce that they’re working to bring the mode up to standard before reintroducing it, but Activision may not be going that route. “We may bring the mode back,” reads the noncommital update, before concluding: “for now we’ll focus on development for Multiplayer, Battle Royale, and Ranked Mode.”
Though all hope isn’t lost, the future is definitely uncertain where Call of Duty: Mobile Zombies mode is concerned. Since the game is free-to-play and supported by microtransactions, players that have spent real money on in-app purchases with Zombies mode in mind have naturally voiced their displeasure. It’s unknown whether Activision will offer refunds or any form of compensation.
