A lot of series veterans were shocked to learn that Redd the fox, also known as “Crazy” Redd, didn’t feature in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Now, however, it appears as though he might be set to join the debut Animal Crossing Nintendo Switch title thanks to a select bit of in-game dialogue from island resident Fang. Stick with this guide for everything you need to know about the potential introduction of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Redd character and his art gallery.
Is Redd bringing his art gallery to Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
Redd is a longstanding Animal Crossing character that’s known for running a dubious art business. The cunning salesman isn’t above displaying and profiting from the sale of counterfeit paintings, but it now appears that his naughtiness could be set to make its way into New Horizons at some point in the future.

Redd’s potential introduction was brought to public attention when Twitter user @sylvidia shared a video of a conversation they had with Fang. Footage of the exchange can be seen below, in which Fang makes reference to art being on display at the museum: “Can’t say I know much about art… But I like that there’s some in the museum here for me to gawk at.”

Of course, anybody that’s played Animal Crossing: New Horizons will know that there is no art gallery in the museum. There are, however, a couple of staircases leading up to an unoccupied second floor. Many fans are speculating that this could be a location for Redd to appear following a future update or DLC release from Nintendo.
Do keep in mind that it’s also possible Redd and an art gallery are Animal Crossing: New Horizons cut content, which would indicate that Fang’s dialogue still being present is merely an oversight. Whatever might be the case, this is concrete proof that Nintendo has at least considered implementing an art gallery and, by extension, Redd into New Horizons.
