Can Digby Join my Animal Crossing: New Horizons Island?
Digby, like other more important characters in Animal Crossing, cannot join your island as a villager. As of writing, too, Isabelle’s twin brother is nowhere to be seen in the game. As per the screenshot above, though, Isabelle has begun to mention Digby. This could, potentially, be pointing towards an introduction of Digby to the game in a future update.
Unfortunately, without any official word from Nintendo, we don’t know if Digby is on the way to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. While Isabelle’s comment about her brother could be a sign that he is on the way, it could also just be a nod and a tease. Digby was in previous games and is a character that players remember. The developers could simply be throwing a nod in as a little joke. It could, of course, be teasing that Digby is on the way.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a game that likes to add in previously missing features as free content updates. Doing this helps to keep the game interesting for a longer time period. We could, therefore, see Digby added into the game in a similar fashion. The Happy Home Showcase of Animal Crossing: New Leaf could potentially be added into the game, along with Digby, via a future game update. This has happened with swimming, the art shop, and more. Who’s to say it won’t happen again. We’ll have to wait and see. For now, though, there is no Animal Crossing: New Horizons Digby appearance.
