Twitch Thumbnails Not Loading Error Fix

Twitch thumbnail images might not be loading for a few reasons. First, they might be too large in dimensions. Secondly, they might be too large in memory. And lastly, there could just be an issue with the browser you are using.

Thankfully, there is a simple fix to Twitch thumbnail images not loading. Find out more below.

How to fix Twitch thumbnails not loading

Twitch Thumbnails Not Loading Error Fix

To fix Twitch thumbnails not loading, you’re going to need to make sure your images are suitable for upload.

  • Make sure your images are 1280 pixels wide by 720 pixels high. Any wider or taller than that and the image won’t be processed properly.
  • The image should be 10 MB or less.

If your image fulfills both of these requirements and it still doesn’t load, you’re going to want to try a different browser. If you’re using Chrome, for example, logging into Twitch on Edge might let you add the thumbnails without issue.

To solve the problem for myself, I used Chrome but on a different PC.

Over recent years, Twitch has acknowledged issues with thumbnails not working properly, but the problem still remains for some users.

Here’s hoping more permanent Twitch thumbnails not loading fixes roll out sooner, rather than later.
