The amount of endgame content in Genshin Impact is a little light right now, but it appears that more and more content is on the way in the near future. Knowing what unlocks when you complete Genshin Impact is key information for any players planning on finishing the game’s story or looking to play it some more.
What is the Genshin Impact endgame content?
There isn’t too much endgame content in Genshin Impact following the game’s launch on PS4, PC, iOS, and Android. This is a game in early-access, however, with more content planned to be added via future game updates. For now, though, there isn’t much to do in Genshin Impact once players have completed its story. Completing the story might require players to find the Childish Jiang hiding spots, which can be tricky.
Genshin Impact endgame Spiral Abyss
The main Genshin Impact endgame content is the Spiral Abyss. This challenging gauntlet area will unlock for players that reach Adventure Rank 20. To reach Adventure Rank 20, players will definitely need to know how to heal in the game.
Endgame content appears once players reach Adventure Rank 20. Spiral Abyss appears on its own island over on Musk Reef, which players can get to from Cape Oath. Spiral Abyss is filled with enemies, with different floors and chambers available to players to complete.
There are three challenges of increasing difficulty in each chamber, along with a new Blessing each month. Players cannot eat food, change party members, artifacts, weapons, level up, or ascend characters in these chambers, meaning that equipment and artifacts much be set before attempting the Spiral Abyss.
Players can earn rewards such as the Chamber’s Bounty, Star’s Bounty, and Moon’s Bounty upon completing chambers, floors, and more.
Reaching the top of the Spiral Abyss will be difficult. Heading into The Spiral Abyss in multiplayer co-op would make things easier, but unfortunately, it’s single-player only. It might be an idea to level up before attempting the Spiral Abyss as players can only tackle it alone.
Will there be more Genshin Impact endgame content?
Yes. There will be more endgame content in Genshin Impact, added via game updates. More content is planned to be added to Genshin Impact in the future.
Speaking to TheSixthAxis, miHoYo explained that “as Genshin Impact is updated, additional characters will be added to the game.” No clear timeline has been offered to detail when and what will be added to Genshin Impact in the future, however. Just know that miHoYo is “making continuous improvements based on player feedback and suggestions.” More content is on the way, including “more characters and stories.” While there is little to do in Genshin Impact’s endgame right now, it’s safe to say that the game will be expanded via updates adding new Story Quests and characters to unlock. The game is in early access, after all.
What’s more, the game’s “domains will become increasingly dynamic” and “ways to customize [character] appearance are also being discussed.” There is plenty of new content coming to Genshin Impact at some point in the future. Hopefully, new content is added to the game sooner rather than later.
Aside from trying to complete the Spiral Abyss, there isn’t too much else to do once players finish the story in Genshin Impact. There will be stronger enemies to fight and new rarer items to find, but that is it right now.
