Best Answer: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla opals can be found in loot drops throughout the world or by completing contracts given by a certain vendor.
Knowing where to get opals in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla can let players earn some slick gear they can’t otherwise obtain. This shiny currency allows players to buy stuff from the daily merchant. But first, they need to track down these valuable stones. Here’s how to get opals in ACV.
How to get opals in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
To get opals in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, players have two options:
- Find them in the open world
- Complete contracts from Reda
Finding opals in the open world can be a little random since they aren’t always in one specific spot. They tend to be in somewhat secret areas or in harder to reach places. Sometimes, this means they are at the top of a tower or near one of the Roman artifacts. Sýnin, the bird, can spot them after using the left trigger or L2 to focus. The icon is in the above picture. They are rocks that reflect the rainbow as seen in the picture at the top.
The second and most prosperous way to get opals is through Reda, the daily merchant like the one from Assassin’s Creed Origins. Reda shows up to the settlement after getting alliances in a few territories. He sets up shop near the blacksmith where the player can upgraded their gear and somewhat near the barracks. Just setting up his shop will net the player 50 opals.
Once the shop is built, go to Reda and ask to take a contract. From here, the game will list out three daily quests. These usually pop up around the player and give them a simple task, like killing a certain guard or going to a place and hunting a few wolves. They’re quite easy and dole out plenty of opals. These quests expire so be sure to do them during your play session.
Contract quests can be taken up all over the map. Just look out for the above icon. The vendors will be children and will have the same quests as Reda. However, opals can only be spent at Reda’s shop in the settlement. The items in the shop, like the quests, cycle in and out so be sure to check back often. Players can’t buy regular items like carbon ingots though.
