Moon Knight is one of Marvel’s upcoming Disney Plus TV shows, and anticipation for it is pretty high. Starring Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke, it’s set to launch in next year, with six episodes. Hype for the show has led to many MCU fans asking one question: is there going to be a Moon Knight movie?
Is there a Moon Knight movie?
Currently, we can’t be sure whether there will be a Moon Knight movie announced this year. However, it’s pretty unlikely, considering the show itself doesn’t even come out until 2022.
If there is to be a Moon Knight movie, it’ll be much later down the line that we find out. As it stands, don’t expect an announcement in 2021.
As the show will be Moon Knight’s first introduction to the MCU, it’s hard to estimate whether the character could crop up in other Marvel films following the show. With so many films slated for release in the next few years, we can’t rule it out.
Marvel is no stranger to ambitious team-ups in their films, with this year’s Spider-Man: No Way Home set to feature Doctor Strange, alongside the web-swinger. Therefore, Moon Knight could crop up in another MCU film down the line. That said, at the moment it’s all unconfirmed – and until the show airs next year, it’s doubtful that we’ll hear any information about the character’s future.
Moon Knight will star Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector, a former Marine whose body is overtaken by the Egyptian god Khonshu. From there, he gains spectacular powers, leading to the superhero narrative we’re soon to witness on Disney Plus.
Images of the former Star Wars actor have emerged Twitter. He’s seen alongside his A-list co-star, Ethan Hawke. Casting such a seasoned actors surely suggests that Moon Knight is here to stay in the MCU – so even if he doesn’t get his own movie yet, he’s sure to make a big-screen appearance one day.

In other news, the latest episode of Rick & Morty dropped today, but it’s a slightly underwhelming adventure. Nintendo have also hinted at more mini versions of their retro consoles in the future – perhaps starting with the N64.
