It’s no secret that Call of Duty: Warzone has a cheater problem. Recently over 50,000 accounts got a ban, prompting the developers to pledge to do better. So, does this mean that anti-cheat software is finally on the way? Here’s the latest on a CoD: Warzone anti-cheat release date for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
When is the Call of Duty: Warzone anti-cheat release date?
Call of Duty: Warzone developer Raven Software is currently “hard at work behind the scenes” to fix the hacking and cheating issue. This could point towards an imminent CoD: Warzone anti-cheat release date, though there’s no official launch day yet.
Rumors would initially suggest that the Warzone anti-cheat release date is today, August 12, 2021. Call of Duty specialist @charlieINTEL was quick to shoot down the speculation, however.

In reality, it’ll likely take much longer for Raven Software to implement a solution — be that CoD: Warzone anti-cheat software or otherwise. Although the extra waiting time is frustrating, there is at least a fix in the works now that the dev team is acknowledging the problem. With the growing prominence of Call of Duty: Warzone console hacks, players across all platforms are hoping for a quick turnaround.
According to Raven, the team will “have more info soon.” Until then, unfortunately, there’s no exact window for that information or any specifics on what the proposed solution is. Despite this, most fans are assuming that the tweet references the eventual arrival of a Call of Duty: Warzone anti-cheat system.
🚫 Today we banned over 50,000 accounts in #Warzone.
More importantly, we are listening and hard at work behind the scenes.
We will have more info for you soon.

In other news, Dead by Daylight players aren’t happy about the introduction of SBMM. Meanwhile, there’s better news for Grand Theft Auto 5 fans; GTA 5: Expanded and Enhanced will run at 4K resolution and 60 FPS on PS5, and presumably on Xbox Series X as well. The upcoming Aliens: Fireteam Elite also has some significant post-launch content plans.
