Players will need to find Astral Crystal Grain in Tales of Arise to upgrade weapons early on in the game. Several starting weapons require Astral Crystal Grains to upgrade them, so players will want to find a location to farm them quickly. These upgrades can be a big help, so those that are struggling with the initial sections of Tales of Arise (especially if they haven’t played a Tales game before) will want to find these valuable upgrade materials quickly.
Where do you find Astral Crystal Grain in Tales of Arise?
There’s no way to farm Astral Crystal Grains in Tales of Arise. Instead, they’re found in a specific location in Glanymede Castle.
To get to the castle, players need to take the elevator in Kyrd Garrison and head to the Trench of Flames. From the trench, players should proceed to the Gates of Fire and look for a series of ladders. They can then take the ladders down and walk across the pipes to the entrance of the Glanymede Castle. Once inside, players can locate the Astral Crystal Grain on the fourth floor in a square room in the south of the map. Inside this room is a blue chest that contains 2x Astral Crystal Grain.
Though the Astral Crystal Grains are hard to find, players won’t need many of them. In fact, the two found in Glanymede Castle may be the only ones required throughout the game. Players need one to upgrade the Crude Sword for Alphen and the Basic Rifle for Shionne. Other than those two weapons, we haven’t found any other pieces of gear in Tales of Arise that require the Astral Crystal Grain to upgrade.
It’s not too tough to get these upgrade materials, but this is just one of many items the player will have to locate during their playthrough of Tales of Arise.
