Halo Infinite Fusion Coil Fusion Frenzy Challenge

Halo Infinite Fusion Coil: How to complete the Fusion Frenzy Challenge

The Fusion Frenzy challenge in Halo Infinite requires players to kill an enemy with the Fusion Coil in PvP. Unfortunately, that’s easier said than done since these items are typically stationary. Most experienced players will avoid these explosive containers, but fortunately, players can pick up and throw Fusion Coils in Halo Infinite.

Halo Infinite Fusion Coil Fusion Frenzy Challenge Complete

There are two ways to kill an enemy with the Fusion Coil in Halo Infinite:

  • Detonate it while they’re standing next to one.
  • Throw one at them.

When stationary, it’s a lot harder to score a kill since an enemy needs to be basically standing right next to a Fusion Coil to ensure a kill. Most Halo players instinctively avoid them, but it’s possible to catch someone slipping.

A new feature in Halo Infinite is the ability to pick up Fusion Coils. Once a player has one in their arms, they can throw it. Once thrown, the coil will explode if it hits a solid object like the ground, a wall, a vehicle, or a player.

Ideally, players can complete the Fusion Frenzy challenge by throwing the coil into an enemy. However, there’s no reticle to help with aiming, so it’s quite difficult to get a direct hit (especially if you’re experiencing aim lag). Despite causing a good amount of splash damage, there’s only a small zone where a Fusion Coil explosion guarantees a kill. So, even though getting a kill by throwing a coil is easier than trying to shoot or grenade it while an enemy is standing by it, it’s still not easy.

The easiest way to complete this challenge is to have a squadmate help. If they can shoot an enemy and lower their shields before a player throws the coil at them, the chance of getting a kill with the splash damage is much higher.
