The recent MMO survival game, V Rising, grabbed the attention of millions of worldwide players. However, some players wonder if V Rising is free-to-play or if they have to pay a certain amount to enjoy the game. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
V Rising is a game that can be played solo, and if you have a clan full of gamers, you can also enjoy the multiplayer game mode. However, V Rising is available for early access on Steam for the time being.
The survival game features a weak vampire who has been sleeping for centuries. After waking up, he doesn’t seem to have enough energy. Hence, the objective is to collect resources and help him regain strength and rebuild his castle. You also have to build a solid army to conquer the land once again. It’s all interesting enough to make it one of Steam’s most-played games, but is it playable for free?
Can you play V Rising for free?
The survival game is a premium PC release, meaning that it is not free-to-play and you have to buy it in order to play it. At the time of this writing, there is no news about the game being free-to-play.
Battlerite, Stunlock Studios’ previous game, amassed 200,000 players within two weeks of its Early Access release in Steam while being pay-to-play, before eventually being remodeled as a as a free-to-play release. It remains to be seen if V Rising will follow suit and employ a similar business model further down the line. If you don’t mind paying for the game, then you purchase a copy at the cost of $19.99/£15.49 on Steam.
Is there a V Rising PS5, PS4, Xbox, or Switch release date?
As this is a PC exclusive game, currently, it’s not available on any console, including PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, and the Nintendo Switch. Even though the developers haven’t ruled out the game’s release on consoles, we don’t see it happening anytime soon, given that no official announcement has been made.
Nevertheless, V Rising is currently in Early Access, so expect the game to throw in some major changes before getting a full release. Who knows – the devs might consider bringing it to consoles by the time it’s ready for a full release.
