Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 4 sees the titular hero finding a Jedi tomb within Fortress Inquisitorius, the Imperial underwater building located on the moon Nur. The tomb shows a number of Jedi frozen in a transparent orange casket — including Tera Sinube — with viewers wondering if there are any familiar faces in this haunting scene. So which Jedi should you recognize from the eerie tomb?
Who is in the Jedi tomb in Kenobi episode 4?
The Jedi that Obi-Wan Kenobi focuses on when first entering the tomb is Tera Sinube, a Jedi Master who viewers may remember from The Clone Wars. While not exactly a well-known cameo, Tera will be familiar to fans of the animated show as the elderly Jedi who concealed his lightsaber in his walking stick.
The rest of the Jedi shown in the tomb were seemingly unknown to viewers. While the initial brief shot of the tomb’s entirety appeared to show familiar Jedi Plo Koon and Quinlan Vos, they look different from their live-action and animated counterparts upon further inspection. It would have also been likely that if Vos and Plo Koon were in the tomb, they would have warranted Kenobi’s attention more than the relatively unknown Tera Sinube. Fans have theorized that the Jedi who looks like Plo Koon is actually Coleman Kcaj, who also served as a Jedi Master during the time of the Galactic Republic.
Elsewhere in the tomb, Kenobi also saw the body of a younging, still wearing the training helmet that viewers will remember from the prequels, along with several other unfamiliar Jedi. It’s unclear why the episode focused so much on unknown Jedi when there are several familiar, deceased Jedi that fans would have recognized.
One theory is that the graves in the tomb are actually similar to Han Solo being frozen in Carbonite and that the Jedi featured in it could potentially be revived. With Kenobi potentially returning for a season 2, Obi-Wan rescuing the Jedi here and then them forming the basis of season 2 would make some kind of sense. However, we’ll have to wait and see if the show plays out this way.
