The Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League release date has been delayed even further. This marks the second time the launch has been pushed back. It was originally slated to be released in 2022 before being delayed to May 2023. However, the negative reaction to the State of Play deep dive in February seems to have influenced Rocksteady and Warner Bros. to take time to address some of the criticism.
What’s the new release date for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League?
The new Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League release date is February 2, 2024. Alongside the news of the delay, the official Twitter issued this message:
“We have made the tough but necessary decision to take the time needed to work on getting the game to be the best quality experience for players. Thank you to our amazing community for the continued support, patience, and understanding. There is much more to share in the months ahead, and we look forward to seeing you in Metropolis next year.”
During the game’s first big reveal in February, viewers were very critical of the game’s live service elements, and many found the gameplay to be bland and generic. Unfortunately, it looks like those mechanics are embedded deep enough into the game that it’ll likely be impossible to remove them. So, it remains to be seen if Rocksteady will try to minimize its influence or if it’s just waiting for the negative press to die down.
