Zelda Tears of the Kingdom How to get to the third shrine

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom: How to Get to the Third Shrine

You’ll need to use your new Ascend power to get to the third shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Finding where to do so is the trick. The most obvious place is underneath the shrine, close to where you exit Bottomless Cave. However, you’ll find that Ascend doesn’t have the range to reach that ledge. Instead, you’ll need to find a lower overhang to pass through to reach the 3rd shrine.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom third shrine Ascend location map

In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you must use Ascend underneath the ledge near the bridge across the river to reach the third shrine. That’ll bring you up a level, and you can pass through a nearby hollow tree and cross over to the third shrine.

To get to it, follow these directions:

  • When you exit Bottomless Cave, you can look up and see the ledge where the third shrine is located.
  • However, no matter how much you move around, Ascend doesn’t have the range to make it up here.
  • So, head east and then circle north.
  • You’ll find an area you can drop down to a frozen river.
  • Follow the shore of the river north, then cross the bridge.
  • Keep following the river north to the edge near the waterfall.
  • You’ll notice you’re under a similar ledge as the one the third shrine is on, but it’s shorter.
  • Use Ascend and rise through the bottom of the ledge.

From where you are now, you can head south through the hollow tree to make it to the third shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. However, this isn’t the only way to get there. While climbing up might seem impossible because of the ice-covered walls, there are places along the plateau that Link can make it up. Keep an eye out for bare rock and tree roots if you decide to take this path.
