Can You Play Lethal Company Solo Single-Player

Can You Play Lethal Company Solo: Is There a Single-Player?

Though the game aims to provide a co-op experience, some players wonder if playing Lethal Company solo is possible. After all, not everyone has friends available to play with, and those people may not want to deal with matchmaking. Others prefer a single-player experience but want to experience the game’s unique mixture of sci-fi horror and survival gameplay. So, we’ll take a look at whether you can enjoy Lethal Company in single-player mode or not.

Can you play Lethal Company in single-player?

You can play Lethal Company solo, but there are some caveats. The game has no dedicated single-player mode, and the difficulty doesn’t scale down if you decide to go it alone. There are also gameplay elements that make playing the game solo much more difficult than even playing it with two people.

Even if you want to play Lethal Company as a single-player game, we recommend you bite the bullet and use matchmaking to find a team. However, if you aren’t deterred, here are a few things to keep in mind when playing alone:

  • You’re gathering scrap on behalf of a company, and you have a quota. Without multiple players scavenging, meeting these quotas becomes incredibly difficult.
  • If you die when playing alone, all your scrap is lost. In contrast, if playing with others, only one player has to make it out to keep all the loot.
  • Some of the equipment is designed to be used in support of other players. So, it becomes worthless if you’re playing solo.
  • Again, the game doesn’t scale difficulty based on player count. Lethal Company balanced to be challenging for a four-player party.

However, it’s technically possible to beat the game solo. If you’re extremely proficient, no barrier keeps you from accomplishing your goals. Just be aware that you’ll be heavily at the mercy of RNG, and it’ll take a bit of luck to complete the game alone.
