Microsoft Updates Game Content Sharing Policy

Microsoft has some new rules for gamers who wish to stream gameplay or create Let's Play videos of its content.

Over on Xbox.com, the company has spelled out its guidelines for use of its recorded game content. While gamers are free to make their content available via Youtube or Twitch and earn revenue from ads through the sites' respective programs, "you can't charge money in exchange for your Item, post it on a site that requires subscription or other fees to view the Item, or post it on a page you use to sell other items or services."

There are a whole bunch of rules, all of which you'll probably want to read over before sharing your game content. A lot of it is common sense, but this is the internet. Better to cover all your bases.

Are you a content creator who streams gameplay footage or Let's Play videos? If so, sound off in the comments below with your thoughts on Microsoft's new policies.
