Metal Gear Rising 2 Teased for PS4 [Update: Konami Denies]

[Update] Konami producer Ken-ichiro Imaizumi has spoken out to deny reports that the tease that aired during the Taipei Game Show was related to a Metal Gear Rising sequel.

Imaizumi's comment comes by way of gaming personality, Geoff Keighley, who posted the following on Twitter.

Could this just be another one of Hideo Kojima's elaborate pranks? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

[Original] During today's Taipei Game Show 2015 livestream, a teaser for what appears to be a sequel to Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was revealed.

Flashing on the screen was a giant "2" in the same iconic font that was featured on the cover art for the first title.

Aside from the fact that we know both developer Platinum Games and Kojima Productions were interested in making a follow-up, this supposed sequel remains shrouded in mystery. The only other important thing to note is that a PS4 logo appeared alongside the "2."

Does that mean it won't be coming to Xbox One? Then again, this was aired in Japan, where Microsoft's console is virtually irrelevant, so I wouldn't read too deeply into that.
