Fast and Furious and Forza are two of the biggest vehicle-related franchises in film and video games respectively, which naturally leads to crossover potential. That potential has become a reality according to an Associated Press report.
Universal Pictures is teaming up with developer Turn 10 Studios to create a Fast and Furious game in the Forza world. More specifically, the game will be a standalone expansion to Forza Horizon 2 for Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Bill Kispert, executive vice president of digital licensing at Fast and Furious studio Universal, explained the partnership and how it's been in the works for a while.
"We've been talking with the folks at Turn 10 for a number of years and have always wanted to work together," he said. "It was a matter of schedules, capacity and a film coming together at the right time. It finally has, and we're excited to collaborate with Turn 10."
Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious comes out on March 27th and doesn't require Forza Horizon 2. Best of all, the game will be free until April 10th to promote the upcoming Furious 7. After that, the price shifts to $10.
