Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Delayed to 2016

Sorry, PlayStation fans. It looks like you won't be playing Nathan Drake's next adventure on PS4 in 2015, as Uncharted 4: A Thief's End has been delayed to spring of next year.

"After spending so many years with Nathan Drake, he means a lot to the team, and telling the climactic chapter of his adventures is a task we don’t take lightly — this game deserves every bit of the attention to detail, precise pacing, and nuanced storytelling Naughty Dog is known for," Naughty Dog creative director Neil Druckmann explained in a post on PlayStation Blog

"So we’ve made the difficult choice of pushing the game’s release date. Giving us a few extra months will make certain that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End not only meets the team’s high standards, but the high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title."

Are you surprised by this news, or did you see it coming considering the recent change in leadership over at the studio following Amy Hennig's departure?

What do you think will now serve as Sony's big holiday exclusive now that Uncharted 4 won't be out until the following year? Could The Last Guardian finally be coming this holiday season?

Yeah… probably just wishful thinking.
