Sony Computer Entertainment President and CEO Andrew House recently put together an Investor Day presentation, and it reveals a new release window for the highly anticipated Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.
Sony's FY2015 strategy includes the "development and release of first party exclusive game titles," including Uncharted 4. The company's fiscal year ends on March 31, 2016, which means Uncharted 4 would come out before that date.
Uncharted 4 was originally scheduled to come out this year, but a couple months ago developer Naughty Dog delayed the game to 2016. According to creative director Neil Druckmann, "giving us a few extra months will make certain that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End not only meets the team’s high standards, but the high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title."
Sony recently admitted its first party lineup for 2015 is "sparse." Hopefully 2016 marks an upswing for the company with Uncharted 4 front and center.
