As of fourth quarter of 2014, the long-awaited Warcraft movie had wrapped up its filming phase. Since then and continuing into 2016 it will be in post-production where CGI is employed. Although it'll be a year until it hits theaters, we may be catching our first glimpse of what it looks like in motion as early as next month.
Legendary Pictures has confirmed its schedule for San Diego Comic Con, and it includes a strong showing for Warcraft on July 11th at 2:30PM PDT. A presentation is planned that will discuss post-production for the film, and it's rumored that a trailer will be shown to visualize the experience for its first time.
The film's cast will be at the presentation in addition to being available for photo opportunities afterward. Notable cast members include Ben Foster as Medivh, Toby Kebbell as Durotan, Terry Notary as Grommash Hellscream, Rob Kazinsky as Orgrim Doomhammer, and Paula Patton as Garona.
Blizzard has voiced its interest in following the film with subsequent releases that push further along the fantasy world's timeline. For now, the first Warcraft film will focus on the earlier days of the universe where the Human-led Alliance and Orc Horde battled for control of Azeroth.
Warcraft will release on June 10th, 2016.
