Early 2016 might already be strong, but Uncharted 4: A Thief's End wants to make it even better.

Sony has announced that the final chapter of Uncharted will release on March 18th, placing it within the same month as Tom Clancy's The Division, Killer Instinct: Season 3, and Street Fighter V.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will be offered in three different configurations. The standard edition will come only with the game, while the special edition will offer the following at $79.99:

  • Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Blu-ray Disc
  • Collectible Steelbook case designed by Alexander “That Kid Who Draws” Iaccarino
  • 48-page hardcover art book by Dark Horse and Naughty Dog
  • Naughty Dog & Pirate Sigil sticker sheet
  • Naughty Dog Points: A pack of in-game currency to unlock various multiplayer content

Those who want the most complete package will desire the Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Libertalia Collector's Edition. Priced at $119 it will include the following:

  • A 12″ premium Nathan Drake statue by Gentle Giant
  • Three multiplayer outfits: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Heist Drake, and Desert Drake outfits
  • Two custom weapon skins: Golden Weapon Skin and Desert Weapon Skin

Alongside this news Sony has confirmed that there will be a season pass for Uncharted 4. Priced at $19.99 it will consist of one single-player story mission in addition to two multiplayer packs that offer new items. Each will be released at an unconfirmed date after March 18th.

Also, hinted in the wording of the announcement is the confirmation of microtransactions, which may or may not be exclusive to the multiplayer experience. They will be disguised under the name "Naughty Dog Points", and will be used as virtual currency for in-game items in exchange for real currency.
