Halo 5: Guardians Early Copies Hit Store Shelves and Major Spoilers Are Being Posted

The next couple weeks are going to be a trial of great proportions for Halo fans. Halo 5: Guardians has found its way into a few U.S. retailers, and as a result a lucky few have been able to grab a copy more than 15 days before release. This doesn't just mean that some gamers have already completed the long-awaited campaign, it means there's been an opportunity for some bad-spirited people to ruin the ending for others.

In addition to photos of early copies finding their way online, there are major story spoilers that have been published on sites such as Reddit. In one case, it went beyond plot points by sharing the ending of Halo 5: Guardians in the title of a post.

Some fans are livid that the ending has been spoiled weeks before they've been able to experience the game for themselves. On the plus side, judging by the reaction to the spoilers Halo 5: Guardians has an epic narrative in-store that's rich with emotion and substantial moments.

If you care about Halo's story, be careful during the next couple weeks. GameFAQs, 4Chan, and Reddit are a haven for spoilers. I would suggest avoiding the first two sites altogether, and not treading into the 'New' section of the Halo sub-Reddit until you've obtained a copy for yourself and beaten the campaign.

Halo 5: Guardians is expected to be the best-seller of October, and Microsoft is betting that it'll be a primary catalyst for record-breaking Xbox One sales this holiday season.
