If you start up Halo 5: Guardians today, you'll notice that a 6.2GB update awaits. There's a good reason why it's so large.
The long-awaited Big Team Battle has finally gone live for Halo 5: Guardians. This is a mode that was considered a fan-favorite among players in prior games, and was sorely missed during this year's launch. It includes 8 versus 8 players with vehicles, and weapon pick-ups. It's not too dissimilar from the large-scale of Warzone, but is more focused on being like classic team deathmatch with the absence of Reqs and PvE elements.
As part of the update four maps crafted in Forge have been introduced, including:
- Basin
- Deadlock
- Guillotine
- Recurve
The game mode isn't the only thing Halo 5 fans have reason to be excited about. 48 new Reqs have been added, which range from armor types to emblems. Below are all the additions.
Next month Forge will be added to the ecosystem, allowing everyone to create and share their own maps. By June 2016 15 or more maps will be added at no cost.
