Battlefield 3 developer DICE just dropped a huge bomb at the PlayStation Blog. The PS3 will be getting Battlefield 3's planned expansion DLC before the Xbox 360.
EA seems to be siding with the PS3 for Battlefield 3 in light of the relationship Activision has with Microsoft over Call of Duty's timed-exclusive maps for the Xbox 360. The timeframe isn't as long as the exclusivity period the Xbox 360 enjoys with Call of Duty DLC, which is usually around a month. For Battlefield 3, the PS3 will get "all full-blown expansion packs" a week before the Xbox 360.
This is just another shot fired in the ongoing battle between Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 (and PS3 and Xbox 360, for that matter).
