Sonic the Hedgehog Heads To Spotify As SEGA Adds Thousands Of Tracks

Spotify is currently the most popular music streaming service in the world. With over 40 million subscribers worldwide, it has become a popular destination of listeners looking for new beats to enjoy, in addition to creators interested in sharing their works.

SEGA has jumped on-board the Spotify train this week adding thousands of tracks to the service. Both classic and modern game are fully featured, including the likes of Shinobi (1987), Golden Axe (1989), OutRunners (1992), Jet Set Radio (2000), Skies of Arcadia (2000). Virtua Fighter 5 (2006), and the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

Currently, the most popular track is "Sonic Boom" followed by several hip hop remixes of Sonic Adventure 2's OST.

Last week a 63 track playlist called ZODIAC: Final Fantasy Tactics Remixed made its way to Spotify. With over three hours of works from artists such as Matheus Manente and Taylor Ambrosio Wood, it is currently one of the most popular new gaming playlists on the service.

Spotify offers free access on mobile, although only in shuffle mode. Premium subscribers have access to millions of songs on demand.
