Winter Storm Niko Causing Numerous Roster Changes For MLG Atlanta

MLG Atlanta has found itself in a tricky situation amid the cold weather and incoming winter storm Niko. The problem isn't in Atlanta itself, as Georgia is not expected to be seriously affected by the northeastern snowstorm. The problem is people being able to get there.

With flights being canceled around the country, many team members may not be able to make the Call of Duty World League being held there, slated to begin on Friday, Feb. 10.

USA Today reports that almost 2300 flights originally scheduled to depart on Thursday have been preemptively canceled in preparation for winter storm Niko, and MLG is already preparing for players to not be able to make it, setting up an avenue down in Atlanta for teams to make roster changes.

MLG production coordinator Spencer Peterson confirmed for GameRevolution that they've already started to receive roster change requests, but Spencer said that "we aren't able to truly know how many are effected [sic] until Friday."

This could end up dealing a major blow to one of 2017's first major Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare eSports tournaments.
