Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands is coming out next week, and, if the closed and open beta periods are at all predictive of the future, it's going to be wildly successful.
Ubisoft announced today that a in-house record of 6.83 million (or 6,83 million, according to the image) players participated in their beta periods over the past few months. Of course, you can never tell how many of those people will go on to buy the game, but it's certainly a positive sign of player engagement.
In addition to several other impressive stats, such as a whopping 2 billion minutes played, the most impressive stat is the average playtime for the missions. In the open beta, it took an average of 7 hours to complete the main missions in only 2 out of 21 provinces. Extending that number out, and you could be looking at an average total play time of 70+ hours, which is not a bad buy for $60 bucks.
Ghost Recon Wildlands will be launching on March 7 for PS4, Xbox One and PC (through Uplay, unfortunately).
