In the next installment of Activision's everlasting Call of Duty franchise, you'll be able to pick perks for yourself… and your gun.
Weapon proficiencies allow players to specificy attributes for their firearms once they've killed enough people. Check out the trailer above to see how a handful of these proficiencies work, include reduced kick, enhanced sprint, and *gulp* enhanced melee.
At the end of the trailer, the devs talk about allowing players to enjoy Modern Warfare 3 the way they want to play. I can't help but remember Modern Warfare 2's gamebreaking glitches and think that I might be forced to play the way all the exploiters and glitchers want me to play.
We'll see how the final package turns out when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 lands on retail shelves November 8th, 2011 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
