Skyrim Named Most Played Game of 2011

We're trying to cut back on all the Skyrim talk, but it's difficult. Mainly because the GR staff is so caught up in the fictional world of Tamriel. But it's not just us! It's almost everyone, as proven by Raptr.

The stat-tracking service has named The Elder Scrolls V: Skryim to be the most-played game of 2011, despite being released less than one month ago. Modern Warfare 3 bested Skryim in total playtime, but Skyrim edged out Call of Duty in most hours invested per player – a staggering 2.92 hours per session, the highest in Raptr history.

Modern Warfare 3 was, however, the most played shooter. Battlefield 3 was right behind it, followed by Gears of War 3. Most of the time spent on Modern Warfare 3 is in the multiplayer modes, as Raptr points out that less than 50% of players have completed the game's campaign.
