Wii U’s Touch Screen Is A “Social Window,” Miiverse Detailed

When Nintendo revealed the Nintendo Network, people weren't sure what to make of the rebranding or what it would mean for gamers feeling disappointed in the online connections between gamers on Nintendo's platforms.

Today during Nintendo Direct, Satoru Iwata revealed that the Miiverse would provide social interactions on a scale not really seen on the other consoles. Players will be able to see Twitter like feeds for their games and friends. The demonstration showed a player leaving a comment on a game.

Perhaps more interestingly, a Super Mario game actually displayed user comments on specific levels. We'll bring you more on the Wii U next week at the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Check our E3 coverage on our E3 tag page.
