Medal Of Honor Warfighter Getting Military Edition And Project Honor

Anybody can create an Elite edition or a Collectors' edition, but only EA is creating an edition of a first-person shooter that is JUST for military personnel. Their upcoming FPS, Medal of Honor Warfighter, will include a Military Edition that will only be available to military, law enforcement, and government personnel. This version includes the game's limited edition and exclusive in-game content. It will only be sold via GovX, an e-store for active duty, reserve, and retired members of the US Armed Forces and law enforcement government agencies. No proper ID, no purchase.

Will I be abusing my husband's military status to nab this version? You betcha.

As an additional homage to the military, EA also announced Project Honor, a program focused on "raising awareness and generating charitable contributions for fallen warriors from the Special Operations Community in honor of the sacrifices they and their families have made for their country." Real military-weapon manufacturers will have their products featured in Warfighter to "help deliver the most authentic video game warfare experience." These manufacturers will also sell Medal of Honor-themed goods in their stores and donate 100% of all proceeds to the Navy SEAL Foundation, the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, and other charities.

Both the Military Edition and Project Honor are fantastic contributions to supporting our military. As a military wife, I appreciate it almost as much as the men and women in uniform do. This may help me get over getting kicked out of the Warfighter demo at E3. (Oh no, I'm not bitter.)
