Trust in Brother in the Latest Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Clip

The clips of fictional TV shows that Bethesda has created to promote Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus are brilliant. From the fictional game show “German or Else!” to the newest of the bunch, “Trust in Brother,” they’re riffs on how life would be under a Nazi regime in America, and they’re both terrifying and kitschy in the best way.

The show “Trust in Brother” is a take on ’50s sitcoms that follows young Ronnie. Ronnie loves eating chocolate bars and listening to “degenerate music,” but his big brother Dale knows all of these things are FUN (Following Unlawful Nature.) Thus, this means as much as Dale loves Ronnie, he’s got to inform on him to the authorities. They wouldn’t want to disappoint their “beloved” Führer, after all.

These clips have been one of the best parts of following Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and I can’t wait to see more reimaginings like this one. There’s a lot of thought that’s gone into bringing them to life, especially for fictional shows that aren’t going to be seen or referenced much in the game, but they go a long way when it comes to worldbuilding. The game’s looking amazing too, but this is the kind of campaign I can really sink my teeth into when it comes to advertising in games.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is slated for release on October 27.
