Metal Gear isn't the only franchise celebrating a 25th Anniversary this year (in fact, there are quite a few). Square Enix just hosted a Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary event in Japan only hours ago, announcing the ultimate collection of Final Fantasy games ever created.
Appropriately dubbed Final Fantasy Anniversary Box, it's a massive box set of FF games dating back to the first, all the way through to FFXIII. Broken down, it features updated PSOne versions of Final Fantasy I-VI, the original PSOne versions of Final Fantasy VII-IX, PS2 versions of Final Fantasy X-XII, and the PS3 title, Final Fantasy XIII.
It also includes a number of extras, such as a massive soundtrack spanning the entire storied series, an art book, video montage, and more.
The Final Fantasy Anniversary Box launches on December 18th in Japan, exactly 25 years after the original FF that started it all released in the region. No word if this collection will come to North America. If it does, expect to pay one pretty penny, as the set will run 35,000 yen in Japan, which is rougly $445 in USD.
