The PUBG 4×4 map key giveaway is now under way, with PUBG Corp. gifting players access to the “Closed Experimental Server” on a first come, first served basis. It’s unclear just how many keys are available to players, so it’s best to hurry up if you hope to nab a key for yourself.
PUBG 4×4 Map Key Giveaway
The PUBG 4×4 map key can be gotten through various means, which all ultimately lead to the same sign-up website. Head here to check if any keys are remaining. (You’ll need to link your Steam account and have PUBG in your library. )
The PUBG Closed Experimental Server is displayed separate to the PUBG and PUBG Closed Server applications. The download comes in at 4.5 GB in size.
Despite being “deep in development,” PUBG Corp. is granting lucky players early access to the Codename: Savage map, so that feedback can be given. If you do manage to play on the map during the trial dates of April 2 to April 5, remember that this is an early build, which will likely go through many changes before its official launch.
If you miss out on a key this time around, don’t fret too much, for PUBG Corp. has already confirmed that a second round of testing will be happening, and that the dates for that trial will be revealed once determined. As soon as the map is in a “better state,” the developers will “run some other, bigger tests.” This means players will have a better chance of getting access during future tests.
The PUBG Savage map is designed to be a lot smaller than the existing Erangel and Miramar 8x8km environments, coming in at 4x4km. This makes Savage four times smaller, promoting fast-paced gameplay and frequent engagements. It’s likely going to be a whole lot different to what players have experienced before.
