Call of Duty: Black Ops II isn't even out yet, but it looks like talk of next year's installment in Activision's popular shooter franchise has already begun.
Bill Murray—no, not that Bill Murray—has reportedly revealed that Modern Warfare 4 is currently in the works at Infinity Ward. Speaking to This is Xbox, the voice behind Captain Price allegedly shared the following information:
Yeah, on Monday I am off to meet Infinity Ward about the next game, Modern Warfare 4, I’m doing work on the sequel to Modern Warfare 3, it carries straight on and I only ever appear in the Modern Warfare games…
I don't know about you, but I was under the impression that Modern Warfare 3 would mark the end of the story first started in Call of Duty 4. At the same time, the Modern Warfare name is so recognizable—perhaps even more so than Call of Duty—that Activision abandoning such a powerful brand name would be crazy.
At this point, I just want to know if it's going to take advantage of next-gen hardware…
