Taiko no Tatsujin Switch Version is the latest entry into the home console franchise of Namco’s arcade games. With the Japanese release of the of the game, it has been datamined to find some interesting tidbits.

As you can see in the tweet above, dataminers have found an English version of the game’s logo. Rather than sticking with the name of the previous western release of the franchise (Taiko: Drum Master), Namco has kept the Japanese name of the game. This may be since Taiko: Drum Master was released back on the PS2, so the franchise may be known better by its Japanese name in the west now. As you can also see, the subtitle has been localized, possibly to increase its draw as basically a new IP in the west.
This localized name of Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum n’ Fun has been spotted before on the Australian Classification Board. This also gives more credence to the idea that the game will be coming west. Add to that, there will be an English language patch to Asia region versions of the games. This is for countries such as Singapore, and so the evidence piles up for a Western release.
However, this western release may not include many of the tracks found on the original Japanese release. Due to licensing issues, many of the tracks are likely to be replaced with more Western-friendly songs. So if you would like a more authentic experience of the game, it might just be worth importing it.
