Assassin's Creed Odyssey DLC

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey DLC Revealed, Will Include Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered

We’re less than a month away from the release of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and Ubisoft has revealed the post-launch plans for the upcoming game. The Assassin’s Creed Odyssey DLC will include two major story expansion packs, several additional contents and the most surprising of all, Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered. These will be available for players who have purchased the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Season Pass.

Those who bought the Gold, Ultimate, Spartan and Pantheon Editions of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will automatically gain access to the Season Pass, without having to purchase it separately. On its own, the Season Pass costs $40. The two major story expansion packs are titled Legacy of the First Blade and The Fate of Atlantis. Both will feature three episodes respectively, which will each be released about six weeks apart.

According to IGN, Legacy of the First Blade will feature the first hero to wield the iconic hidden blade, and it will begin releasing starting from December 2018. Meanwhile, players will have to brace themselves to confront godly creatures and uncover the secrets of the sunken city in The Fate of Atlantis, which will start releasing sometime in Spring 2019.

The most unexpected addition to the Season Pass will be Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered. It will be released in March 2019 and contain all the DLC for the game, including the Benedict Arnold missions, Hidden Secrets Pack and Tyranny of King George. Those who prefer to purchase the game separately will be able to do so, albeit at an unannounced price. That’s not all, as it will also include Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered.

Non-season pass holders can also look forward to free post-launch content, which includes additional episodic side quests called The Lost Tales of Greece. This would presumably be what Ubisoft had in mind when they announced during E3 2018 that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will be employing a games-as-a-service model. Similar to Assassin’s Creed Origins, it will also receive daily/weekly contracts, a New Game Plus mode, and the educational Discovery Tour mode.
