Sony announced its new, next-gen console just last week (in case you didn't get the memo), and the company's got a lot of work ahead of it if it wants to successfully launch a brand-new piece of hardware in just nine months' time.
As such, “Lead Media Agency” Carat will now be working with Sony to beef up the company's marketing efforts. "All of the participating agencies presented outstanding approaches during the selection process. Carat presented an innovative model that will drive significant marketing value to SCEA, and we look forward to partnering with them," SCEA's PlayStation Brand Marketing SVP Guy Longworth said.
Sony also recently announced its partnership with creative ad agency Bartle, Bogle, Hegarty New York, which will be working in conjunction with Carat to spread the word about PlayStation through advertisements and the like. Let's hope that this marks a turnaround for Sony's marketing, as the PlayStation manufacturer's track record in this arena is far from impressive.
Thanks, PlayStation LifeStyle.
