Yesterday we caught wind of the first details of what's included in Nintendo's 3DS firmware update that will enable the eShop, a digital storefront that provides a way to download a variety of content for Nintendo's latest handheld. Missing from yesterday's report was a solid date as to when the eShop and firmware update would arrive.
Nintendo has now confirmed that the update will arrive on June 6th. The update was original update was supposed to be available at the 3DS's launch, then was later pushed into May. Now, the update will arrive 10 weeks after the 3DS hit store shelves in America.
