A new report on the Xbox Infinity provides information on the console and controller's form-factor as well as the company's approach to bridging the gap between the Xbox 360 and their next-gen hardware.
According to The Verge, the console will feature a “smaller and denser” design when compared to Microsoft's current gaming machine. Additionally, the device will allegedly feature “newly designed controllers that are said to be ‘flattened’ in appearance.”
In an effort to make the transition as smooth as possible for Xbox 360 gamers, the company is supposedly readying a new dashboard update for the 360, which will enter beta later this summer with an August release. The update will change the interface so that it's even more closely aligned with Windows 8.1.
Bear in mind that this is all just rumor. Fortunately, the mystery will be gone in just a few days on May 21st when Microsoft pulls back the curtain on its new box at the Xbox Reveal.
