Naughty Dog might be known for crafting excellent singleplayer experiences, but lately it's started to include noteworthy multiplayer modes. The Last of Us will be no different.
The Last of Us will have two multiplayer game modes at release: Survivors and Supply Raid. Survivors is a last man standing of sorts with no respawn until only one player is alive. Great map awareness is necessary to being crowned victor at the end of seven rounds. Meanwhile, Supply Raid will have you searching desperately for supplies to keep your team in the game. Each of the game's seven included maps will house as much as eight players. It's highly likely that future DLC will expand the game mode and map list.
Many of the features seen in Uncharted series, namely Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, will be included such as physical character customization, loadouts, and unlocks. However, the crafting system seen in the singleplayer of The Last of Us has been brought over to present a new dynamic to Naughty Dog's multiplayer offerings. It'll allow you to make items on the go so you aren't reliant on finding tools in the game world.
