[Update] Zynga has confirmed that Don Mattrick will in fact take over as CEO of the company and sit on the Board of Directors starting July 8th.

"Zynga is a great business that has yet to realize its full potential. I'm proud to partner with Mark to deliver high-quality, fun, social games wherever people want to play."
[Original] Microsoft Interactive Entertainment Business head, Don Mattrick, is reportedly leaving his position as the Xbox bossman to become the CEO of Zynga.
The news comes from All Things D, who claims multiple sources have indicated that Mattrick is in line for this new executive position following his departure from The Big M. If the reports prove to be true, this will cause a huge shakeup in the industry, as Microsoft's front man for Xbox will now be gone.
